Jimmy Derwin "McAdoo" McAdams, age 60, of Valley Mills, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 25th in Valley Mills. Funeral Service will be 11 A.M. Monday, July 31st at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church with Dr. John Wheatley officiating. Interment will be at the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorials may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI.org).

Jimmy was born August 20, 1956, in Spearman, Texas, to Durwood and Ina Vay (McCoy) McAdams. He married  the love of his life Karen Seay on July 30, 1977. Jimmy started driving trucks while he was going to Valley Mills High School. He has always been a heavy equipment operator or truck driver. Jimmy loved the outdoors and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his father and infant sister Anita.

Survivors include his wife Karen; children, son Ronnie and wife Carla of Belton, Tx., daughter Melissa Green and husband Chad also of Belton; grandsons, Luca and Benton McAdams; Will and Graham Green; mother, Ina Vay of Clifton; brothers: Gary and wife Annette of Tehachapi, CA, Alan and wife Sabra of Perryton, TX, Mace and wife Peggy of Cal City, CA, and sister Jalane Pointer and husband Michael of Paris, TX.; ,mother-in-law Goldie Seay of Valley Mills, TX; sister-in-law Lora Sears and husband Terry of Meridian, TX; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many lifelong friends.
