JessieAnn Blair
Feb. 12, 1947 ~ Feb. 20, 2020

Special moments frame our lives with sweet, impactful memories: achievements, a promise and a ring, the birth of a child. These milestones are joined by a thousand hugs, precious words, and tastes of bliss that become a life well lived. At the end of this life, God's blessing can be to close the frame with a final special moment, peaceful breaths breathed in the arms of the ones you love.

JessieAnn Blair was born Jessica Ann Lyster on February 12, 1947, in Los Angeles. She wanted the biological mother she never knew to know how full a life she lived growing up as "military royalty," the adopted daughter of the late Colonel David K. Lyster (Ret-Air Force) and the late Jessica Anderson. She married her true love, the late Lee Alec Blair, on March 4, 1978. They brought three children to their new marriage and added two more as they spent most of their married life in Waynesboro, Georgia, before beginning retirement at the Lazy L Ranch in Valley Mills, Texas. Since Lee went to be with God in 2014, she has longed to see him again, and in her final special moment to close the frame of her life, she joined her Savior Jesus Christ and her Lee on February 20, 2020, after a sudden illness, at Hillcrest hospital in Waco with three of her beloved children by her side.

JessieAnn is survived by five children: Robert A. Wenberg (Cathy) of Portland, OR; David M. Wenberg (Jessica) of Jacksonville, FL; Christopher L. Blair of Indianapolis, IN; Daniel A. Blair (Brandi) of Valley Mills, TX; Sara-Elizabeth A. Cottrell (Joshua) of Louisville, KY; and eleven precious grandchildren. 8-year-old Elliott spent his whole life living with his Nana and wants you to know that "she gave the greatest hugs."

Funeral service will be held Monday, February 24, at First Baptist Church Valley Mills, where JessieAnn was a faithful member under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Interment will be at the Valley Mills Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
