Jana Lee Bethany left this world for the next on May 18, 2019. A celebration of Jana's life will be held this Saturday, May 25 at 11:00 am, at The Backyard Stage & Grill (511 8th St, Waco, TX.) Performances will be by Chris Lowe and Amara and Garron Tankersley of Albuquerque's The Be Like Thats. Please wear bright colors and bling to honor her wishes, that nobody wear black.

Jana spent over 25 years as a floral designer in Central Texas. She was a fixture around the local music scene, and had an abiding love for Texas Music. Her love for animal life was well known, and she followed several rescue groups in the Waco area. She was beloved by friends and family, especially her mom, Martha Martin, whom she selflessly cared for until her last day.

She is survived by her mother, her brother, Brian Tankersley, and his fiancee Amanda Glantz; her nieces Amara, Eilena, and Zoe, and nephew Garron. Also her best friend for 25 years, Stacey Sadler, and so many friends who knew and loved her. Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Dudley & Edna Tankersley.

In lieu of flowers, Jana asked that people bring donations for local animal rescues.
