James (Jim) Lewis

James Garland (Jim) Lewis, age 70, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away Dec. 7, 2019, at Goodall-Witcher Hospital. Private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Jim was born September 30, 1949, in Ft. Benning, Georgia, to Henry and Bobbie (Coleman) Lewis. He married his child hood sweet heart Janet Wood August 1968. They had three children together Shelley, Michael and Melissa. They divorced in 1979. Janet kept the girls and Jim kept Michael. Jim was a rambler, he moved around alot and had several different jobs during which he met alot of people. Brian Shaw and his so LB as Jim called him were among the lives touched by Jim. They considered him family for over 26 years. The last three years of Jim's life he spent with his son Michael and his family in Valley Mills Tx. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family. He looked forward to football season with the boys. Cowboy fan all the way!!!! He looked forward to meeting his first great grand child and liked to rub Haley's tummy. Dinner time was special for Jim as we all gathered around the table for family time. Jim also loved his dogs Winnie and Clyde and he loved to work with plants.

Son Michael Lewis and wife Tina of Valley Mills, Tx children Adam Bennett, Haley Bonds, Zachary Bonds and Cy Lewis
Lots of nieces and nephews and friends
