Jackie Wayne "Jack" Harris of Valley Mills, Passed away on February 7, 2022. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Valley Mills Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 P. Thursday, February 10th at Foss Funeral Home.

He was born March 16, 1939 in Merkel, Texas, to WC "Pete" and Johnnie Harris. Jack graduated from Merkel High School in 1957 and joined the Navy in August of that same year. He proudly served for 10 years. He married the love of his life, Wanda Jones on July 29, 1961. After leaving the Navy, Jack worked at Bell Helicopter, Hercules and the city of Waco. He enjoyed woodworking, having a garden and working in the yard.

Jack is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda, his two daughters and their husbands, Michelle and David Pardue of Tyler and Melinda and Ben Valenzuela of Hewitt, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his two brothers and their wives, Walt and Nita Harris and Clarence and Kay Harris, all of Merkel, and several nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

Pallbearers are Jacob Scott, Jared Scott, Travis Valenzuela, Matthew Pardue, Eddy Harris, and Justin Harris.

In lieu of flowers, we request donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee or to the Honduras Outreach c/o Whitney Church of Christ P.O. Box 621 Whitney, Texas 76692 or to the Valley Mills Cemetery Association or to the charity of your choice.
