Jack Hinton Nov. 3, 1942~Nov. 26, 2014 Jack B. Hinton, age 72, of Valley Mills passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, in a Waco hospital surrounded by family and friends. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, November 29th at the Valley Mills First United Methodist Church where he was an active member. Interment will be at the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Valley Mills. Jack was born November 3, 1942, in Valley Mills, to Henry and Reba Odle Hinton. On August 2, 1963, he married Jane Anderson. They had two daughters Jamey and Jackie. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jack was employed by Hercules (Alliant Techsystems, Inc.) for 30 years, retiring in 1997. In his younger years, he was a volunteer for the Valley Mills Fire Department and a member of the Valley Mills City Council. He loved hunting, fishing, working at the Organic + Nursery and attending every event his two granddaughters participated in. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Helen Doris Bell and two brothers, James Harlan Hinton and Melvin Leo Hinton. He is survived by his wife, Jane; daughter Jamey and husband George M. Arnold, Jr. of Rockwall and their son George M. Arnold, III of Tyler, daughter Jackie and husband Tony Kettler of Clifton, two granddaughters Kamryn Kettler and Kambrie Kettler, one sister Jane Holt of Meridian, two brothers Burnell Hinton of Valley Mills and Jerry Hinton & wife Diane of Pottsboro and a host of nieces and nephews.
