Homer Milton Gray Jr.

Homer Milton Gray Jr. passed from this earth on March 15, 2023.  A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.  He was born in Clifton, TX. on April 7, 1945 to Homer Milton Gray Sr. and Mary Ellen (Horton) Gray.  He was raised in Mosheim, TX. and attended school in Mosheim until 1959.  He graduated from Valley Mills High School in 1963.

He married the love of his life, Patricia Lynn Patterson, on April 8, 1966. They had two children.  He was one of the early employees at Time Manufacturing Company in Waco and retired after 43 years in 2014 as the Director of Quality.

Homer enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life including hunting, fishing, photography, knifemaking and watching the Dallas Cowboys.  After retirement, he taught himself the art of leatherworking and crafted many beautiful gun holsters, knife sheaths and other treasured items.  He loved animals, especially his beloved Boston Terriers.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.  He never missed a game, performance, or event of his children and later his precious grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Dora Emily and husband Henry Miihlhause, Dessie and Cleo Lowrance, Essie and Erskine Crow, Mary and Gerald Crow and niece Marilyn (Crow) Ondrej.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, son John and wife Dana of Lorena, daughter Amy of Riesel, grandchildren John Brian Gray and wife Andrea of Hewitt, Caitlin Gray of Lorena, Rachel Gray of Temple and great granddaughter Mollie Jo Gray of Lorena, brother-in-law Thom Patterson of Clifton, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
