Herbert J. (Buddy) Allen, age 81, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away peacefully at Providence Hospital surrounded by family. on April 18, 2017. Graveside services will be 11 A. M. Monday, April 24, 2017,at Rock Springs Cemetery near Valley Mills, Texas.
Visitation will be 2 - 4 Sunday at Foss Funeral Home.
Buddy was born on March 23, 1931, in Valley Mills. He was the son of Joe and Willie Lee (Sadler) Allen. He lived in the Valley Mills - Lubbock area all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his sister Willie Joe Allen and a daughter Jane Allen.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Penny Allen. He raised 4 children as his own: Nicole Jackson (Kevin), Lesley Johnson, Lillie Johnson, James Johnson; a grandson Dezman Linares; 2 sons: Jimmy Allen Jr., Marvin McDonald; 3 daughters: Janet Allen, Regina Sappy, LaTasha Allen; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; a devoted brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Charles and Tammie Hopkins.
