Gage Hollingsworth, age 19, of McGregor, Texas. and a freshman at Stephen F. Austin, passed away on February 14, 2018, due to an auto accident near Giddings, Texas. Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Gage was born on Dec. 29, 1998, in Temple, Texas, to Kristen (Batchelor) and Leonard Hollingsworth Jr. He was a 2017 graduate of McGregor High School. "He was a four-year member of the Bulldog Pride band and Howlin' Dog jazz band. He also participated in one act play for four years, along with several Academic teams. He was a two year all state band member and performed at the Texas State solo and ensemble all four years in high school. He was a passionate musician and student." Gage could often be found smiling or telling a joke. He was kind hearted and loved everyone, and in turn he was loved by many. From early on we knew Gage was amazing always outperforming everyone academically and his thirst for knowledge was unparalleled (and sometimes annoying) Gage shared a passion for music with his uncle Brett that he hoped to follow in his footsteps and teach music and in turn share his passion with others. He and his brother Allen could often be found arguing as brothers do, but they were best of friends and grew up very close spending many hours watching cartoons and playing video games together. Gage was blessed to have a strong family structure in a big brother an uncle, his father Leonard, as well as Denny, and his grandmother Elaine. He was his mother's baby before Raven and Brayden came to be... and will be greatly missed by many. You can simply tell the type of person he was, and the way he lived his life, by the love of the people that were in it... Gage was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Hollingsworth Jr., grandfather, Leo Hollingsworth, and Larry Batchelor.
Survivors include his mother Kristen Jones and his step-father Denny, brothers: Eric Moore, Allen Hollingsworth, Brayden Jones, a sister: Raven Jones, grandmothers: Elaine Batchelor, Evelyn Hollingsworth, Soon Jones, Grandfather William Jones Sr. great grandmother: Lucy Melton; several aunts and uncles.
