Gabriel Shawn Gauer

August 4, 1976 ~ August 13, 2026

Gabriel Shawn Gauer beloved son of Ronnie and Judy Gauer and brother of Matthew Gauer, passed away quietly at Hillside Medical Lodge in Gatesville, TX, in the early hours of August 13, 2026. He was 50 years old.

Gabe was born August 4, 1976. He lived a full and eventful life. He never met a stranger and he loved everyone unconditionally. To tell all the "Gabe stories" would take hours and hours, so we'll just leave it at that. If you have a sweet memory, hold it in your heart.

Our love and appreciation go out the Hillside employees and residents and Amedisys Hospice. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillside Medical Rehab. 

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Monday, August 17, 2026 at Foss Funeral Home. Graveside Services will

be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Canaan Cemetery, near Crawford, TX.
