Faye Elizabeth Workman Prause, age 75, of Wortham Bend, past away, Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, in a Waco Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 o'clock Saturday September 17, 2011 at Wortham Bend Oak Grove Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Friday at the Wortham Bend Oak Grove Baptist Church, 614 Oak Grove Loop, China Spring, Texas. Faye Prause was born February 22, 1936 in Sudan, Tx. She was the daughter of Kermit Roosevelt and Lillie Mae (Moncrief) Workman. Born on the family farm in Sudan, Faye attended Sudan public school until the family moved to Arlington in 1951. Faye graduated from Arlington High School in 1954, and married Danny Prause on June 24, 1954 and moved to Valley Mills where she lived the rest of her life as a beloved farm wife, mother and grandmother. Faye was an adult 4-H leader for the China Spring 4-H club for 40 years. She will be remembered by many for her leadership and support of the youth throughout the area and state. Faye had been a member of the China Spring Civic Club since 1982, holding many offices including President, active PTA member for all of her children's school years. Faye was a proud member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Faye's biggest pleasure aside from being with her children and family, was to get out on her 4-wheeler in the early morning and get out among the cattle and the land, cooking for friends and family, and checking on all the field work. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Douglas Prause, and parents Kermit and Lillie Mae Workman. She is survived by her daughter: Marilyn (Ladybug) Elaine Prause, sons: Jerry Glenn Prause and partner Cozette and Gary Doyle Prause and partner Lisa; grandsons Robert Daniel Prause and Jeffrey Neal Prause; sister Margaret Kay Douglass and husband Roy; brother Kermit (Bucky) Workman and wife Sandra; nephew Dennis Douglass and wife Tiffany ; nieces Denise Moseley and husband Greg, Tamara Burkard, Treasa Turnbaugh-Bennett, Tara Vanbibber and grand nephews Nick and Tony and grand nieces Rayna, Lexi, and Katie. Sisters-in-law, Naida Yarbrough, Alvena Pocock, Gloria Helleson and husband Jimmie Joe, brothers-in-law; David Prause and wife Jeanie, James Prause and wife Nelda and many Prause nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Pallbearers: Dennis Douglass, Danny Reible, Robert (Bobby) Reible, Terry Trull, Charles Prause, and James Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews; George A. Rieble Jr., Mark Prause, Mike Prause, Russell Prause, Rodney Yarbrough, DeWayne Helleson, Stephen Pocock, Robert (Bob) Edwards and Edward Jackson. Life long friends as honorary pallbearers are Melvin Bryant, Ollie Brem, Charles Ferguson, Waylon Cobb, Donnie Morgan and Craig Taylor.
