Evelyn L. Ray Mar. 19, 1921 ~ Jan. 19, 2013 Evelyn L. Ray, age 91, of Wichita Falls formerly of Valley Mills, passed away at the Texas Christian Care Center on Saturday, Jan. 19th, surrounded by family. Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Monday at Foss Funeral Home. Mrs. Ray was born on March 19, 1921, in Roxton, Texas. She was the daughter of Robert Oscar and Pluma Cleo (McCalmon) Thompson. She was married to Elco J. Ray on Dec. 30 1937. He preceded her in death in 1982. Also preceded in death by infant daughter Carolyn Louise 2 grandsons: Michael Chisholm, Jeff Windham; and Son-in-law: David Chisholm. Survived by daughters: Shirley Chisholm of Wichita Falls, Brenda Windham Bielss and husband Arthur of Holland TX. 2 granddaughters: Michelle Longman and husband Randy, Tammy Whitmire and husband Wade; 5 great grandchildren: Meridith Windham, Dylan and Dustin Longman, Quincie & Elizabeth Whitmire.
