Ethelyn Jonelle McLemore Farrow PhD
February 3, 1942 ~ October 21, 2024

Ethelyn Jonelle McLemore Farrow, PhD. was born Feb. 3, 1942 to Ernest and Evelyn (Carlson) McLemore in Valley Mills, Texas.

She passed away on Oct. 21, 2024, in Clifton, Texas, surrounded by family and friends.

Jonelle graduated from Valley Mills High School in 1960. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton, Texas.   Jonelle later moved her membership to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Crawford, Texas.   She attended Baylor University and the University of Texas receiving her Doctorate in Psychology and chaired the University of Indiana, South Bend, Indiana's Psychology Department, while her husband, Bobby was a professor at Notre Dame. They later returned to the University of Texas to obtain a degree in Clinical Psychology and worked in the Veterans Hospital until retirement.

Jonelle married Bobby J. Farrow in Dec. 1965, and later married David Chizum.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Evelyn McLemore; her son, Richard John Farrow; her grandson Michael Patrick Reed, Jr.

She is survived by her siblings, Wanda Hines; Shelba Bland and husband Joe; Harlan McLemore and wife Caren; Darwin McLemore and wife Lula; "inherited daughter", Kathy Farrow Reed; grandson Paul Reed and family; and grandson Bobby Reed. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews Don Bland, Mark McLemore, James McLemore, Charles McLemore, Lynn McLemore, and Joe Ledlow.

Visitation will be 5 ~ 7 PM on Wednesday October 23, 2024, at Foss Funeral Home Cremation Center  in Valley Mills.

A graveside service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norse, TX on October 24, 2024 at 2 PM

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sunset Hospice in Clifton,Tx
