Dorothy (Dottie) Holder Williams , age 84, of McGregor, Texas has gone to meet the Lord on Friday, October 22, 2022, at the Westview Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's.  Memorial service will be 3 P.M. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Dottie was born on May 16, 1938, in Franklin, Texas, to Ruby and Johnnie Holder. She was raised in Waco and attended McLennan Community College and awarded her a Bachelors' Degree in social work from the University of Texas. Her life's work was social work and care giver to the mentally challenged. Dottie is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Johnnie Holder; brothers:  John Holder and Dennis Holder; sister Lorita Jean Beaty; grandchild Melissa Gay Hyland.

Dottie is survived by her 2 daughters: Vanessa Johnson, Dianna Johnson Goade; grandchildren: Franz Hyland Jr. Kellee Hogan, Roman Chamblee; great grandchildren: Brock Hyland, Blaine Hyland, Beryn Hyland, Bostyn Hyland, Ashlynn Hogan, Sarah Hogan, Leighton Hogan, Ryder Chamblee, Micah Ellis; 2 sisters:  Sybil Jackson and Joyce Honey.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Ginny Sumpter and her family for their assistance with all the arrangements and all the personal, loving help.
