Doris Bradshaw, age 89, passed away on April 3, 2025, in a McGregor Retirement Center. Visitation will be held from 10 to 12 noon on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the Valley Mills Church of Christ. Graveside will be later at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Tx. under the directions of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Cente r.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Valley Mills Church of Christ .
Doris was born on May 28, 1935, in Cameron, Texas, to Lewis and Beulah Holland. The family later moved to Waco, Texas, where she attended school and graduated from Waco High School, in 1953. She later married Walter Bradshaw on November 24, 1954. She and Walter always remembered each others birthday. They both were born on May 28th. Not only did they shared a birthday but they also share all of the work taking care of the family farm, raising crops and cattle. After their children were born, David and Ruth Ann, she was devoted to them and all of their school activities. Doris later graduated from be a mother to a grandmother and great grandmother. She was very proud of her family. Talking about them always made her smile.
Doris was a member of the Valley Mills Church of Christ. She loved the people there and attended until her health no longer permitted.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Beulah Holland, husband Walter Bradshaw, 2 brothers: Hubert and Robert Holland.
Survivors include her children: David Bradshaw, Ruth Bradshaw Paez and her husband Johnny, a brother: Tom Holland and sister-in-law Linda; grandchildren: Stephanie McCormack and husband Zachary, Ranessa Grant, Cordell Grant and fiancée Madilyn Ploutz-Caulfield, April Reel Bogus and husband Darren; great grandchildren: Sage McCormack, John Bogus, and Dorothy Bogus.
