Donald Wade Heintz, 65, of Valley Mills, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 30, 2021. Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Valley Mills, TX, under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Don was born (a twin) on May 30, 1956, in Houston, Texas. He was the son of Frances (Dutch) and Thelma Heintz. Nicknamed Papa Don by his grandkids. His kids and bonus kids had other nicknames for him, enough said. Don loved spending time with his family, camping, riding 4-wheelers, attending sports events with the grandkids and oh did he enjoy Nascar. Made some fabulous memories with Jon McDonald. Thank you, Jon. If there was music playing you would catch Don dancing with his wife. Don has several bonus kids he loves like his own. You did not have to blood to be family in his eyes. Don was a family man always looking out for their needs. Don graduated from Montgomery High School in 1974 and married his best friend, Terina in 1977.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Terina Heintz; brother, Steve and Gail Heintz of San Antonio, TX; twin brother, David and Marla Heintz of Dobbin, TX; children, DW Heintz of Valley Mills, TX; Casey and Amber Heintz of Valley Mills,TX; Chelsea and Jason LaFitte of Conroe, TX; grandchildren, Andi Heintz; Casey and Michael Daniel; Elizabeth Heintz; Shelby Heintz; Branson Heintz; Jordan LaFitte; Jaxon LaFitte; James LaFitte and great granddaughters, Charlotte Daniel; Mailee Guel and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dutch and Thelma Heintz; sister, Particia Heintz; son, Marty Palacio; Father/Mother-in-law, Archie and Harriett Pope, Father/Mother-in-law, Jack and Mary Sue Grisham.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ascension Providence Hospital of Waco for the care given during this fight for life. Your care and compassion were felt deeply.
