January 25, 1945-April 3, 2025
Diane Jeanette(Freedman) Jordan, known lovingly by her family as Chinamo, passed away on Thursday April 3,2025 in Waco, Texas after a brief illness. Diane was born on January 25, 1945, in Valley Mills, Tx. to Emily (York) and Jesse Freedman.
Diane graduated from Valley Mills High School in 1964 and attended 4-C Business College. Diane worked for various companies before retiring from the McLennan County Sheriff's Office. In 1972 , Diane met and married Paul Jordan and lived in Waco, Tx. Diane and Paul later moved to Irving, then Duncanville until Paul's death in 1983. After Paul's death, Diane returned to the central Texas, and lived in Temple, Tx at the time of her death.
Diane was the life of the party, a notorious flirt, and loved to go country dancing with her many friends. Diane adored her friend and family, loved to shop, garden, make homemade candy, play bingo, Dr Pepper and always on the go. Diane was a die-hard Valley Mills Eagle fan and could be seen at multiple sporting events cheering on her nieces and nephews (both biologic and those she adopted as her own). When her great-nephew became a coach, she became a huge fan of the Santo Wildcats. Diane loved to spoil her nieces and nephews and spend time with her family, especially the "Mann Clan".
Diane was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents Emily and Jesse Freedman, her siblings: Lilly Mae Freedman Light, Corene Freedman Riddle, Jesse(Ned) Freedman, Wiiliam (Gene) Freedman, Ray Freedman, Velma Freedman Johnson, D.G.
