Delia Anzures Zapata, age 56, of Valley Mills, Texas, lost her battle with cancer Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Hillcrest Hospital. Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Friday at the Top Hand Cowboy Church near Valley Mills. Interment will be at Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and cremation center.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 Thursday at Foss Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Top Hand Cowboy Church, 15123 Hwy 6, PO Box 428, Valley Mills, Texas 76689.
Delia was born February 24, 1960, in Pontiac, Michigan. She was the daughter of Adan G. and Leonor (Camacho) Anzures Sr. Delia graduated from Waterford Mott High School, in Pontiac, Michigan. She also was a graduate of Pontiac Business Institute and McLennan Community College. She moved to Waco, Texas, in 1983, where she met her husband Sergio E. Villa Zapata. For eighteen years she was employed at Bill Logue Juvenile Facility in Waco until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother: Adan Anzures Jr.
Survivors include her loving husband: Sergio Zapata; her loving mother: Leonor C. Anzures; 3 sisters: Adela Zapata, Yolanda C. Anzures, Irene Castro and her husband Benancio; 3 sons: Gregorio Zapata and wife Sylvia, Sergio Zapata, Tomas L. Zapata and wife Rebecca; 1 daughter: Maribel Zapata; 11 grandchildren and many more.
