Obituary

David James Watts
April 29, 1961 - August 18, 2024

David James Watts, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 18, 2024, in Moody, Texas.  Memorial services will be held 10 A.M. Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Foss Funeral Home in Valley Mills, Texas.

David was born in Muleshoe, Texas on April 29, 1961 to Luana (Walker) Watts and JW Watts.  At the age of 7, his family moved to Irving, Texas.  David attended Otis Brown Elementary, Lamar Junior High, and then Nimitz High School; eventually meeting the love of his life, Kathleen Donette Pascall and were married in 1982. Three children were born from this union: a son, Darrin and twin daughters, Ashley and Brendy. In 1990 David and his family made their home in Clifton, Texas.  A few short years later in 1994, he endured the loss of his wife Donette.

David was a very hard worker, he worked up to three jobs to provide for his family and the needs of two special needs children. David was a jack of all trades; he could do it all and he loved to help others. David loved growing beautiful plants and vegetable gardening.  You would always find him outside; he truly had the gift of a green thumb and could nurse any plant back to life. David enjoyed playing pool and bowling, participating in many leagues over the years, ranking high in many of them. David enjoyed making people laugh, and he really knew how to tell a story! David had many tragedies in his life, more than one should ever have to bear.  David was a strong man of God and he raised his children up in the word of God. While many would have doubted their faith after so many tragedies, it was his strong faith in God that helped guide him through life.  David is with our Lord and the many family members that we are sure were there to embrace him.

David is preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathleen Donette Watts, his daughter Ashley Marie Watts, his mother and father, his brothers Robert Watts and John Watts, his sisters Yvonne Watts, Ramona Watts, and Christine Watts.

David is survived by his love, Gail Tergerson of Moody, his son Darrin Watts of Dallas, his daughter Brendy Watts of Hewitt, the sparkle in his eyes, his granddaughters, Brenly and Bree Ann Watts, three brothers and a sister, as well as several nieces and nephews.
