David Clarence Miller, 83, of Valley Mills, passed away November 27, 2021. David was born February 23, 1938 in Cayote, Texas. The son of Robert and Zelma (Zander) Miller.
David (Pete, as known by many) graduated from Valley Mills High School with the class of 1958. After graduation, he moved to Ft. Worth where he was a draftsman for Texas Instruments while attending UT Arlington. David married Ronita DeCordova in the fall of 1962. They remained in Richardson, Texas two years before moving back home to Valley Mills.
In 1981, he and Ronita founded Triple D Pump Co. Inc. They worked together in the business designing and manufacturing Lift Stations until Ronita's passing in 2015. During that time he also started ranching on family land in Compton, TX. He grew the ranch over the years and took pride in his cattle herds. Aside from his accomplishments at work, David enjoyed traveling to different countries. A few of those include India, Europe, Greece, and the Holy Land. His favorite trip and the one he talked about the most was when he and his sister Alleen, traveled back to meet their cousins in Germany.
He was a man with integrity and was a proud mason. He often talked about his work ethic, which he proclaims derived from living on a farm and picking cotton.
David is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and his wife Ronita DeCordova Miller. He is survived by his daughter Tracy Miller Love and son-in-law, Lyndon Love, granddaughters, Sally Compton Love and Sarah Faye Love; his sister Alleen Miller Stephenson and brother-in-law, Les Stephenson, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of David's life will be held 11 A.M. December 3, 2021, at the Valley Mills Cemetery. For those who wish to sign the guest book and view digital tribute may do so at Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Wednesday and Thursday.
