Danny Joe Kimberley

June 30, 1947 – June 6, 2025

Danny Joe Kimberley, 77, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 6, 2025.

Born on June 30, 1947, in State Center, Iowa, to Howard and Barbara Kimberley, Danny led a life marked by service, devotion, and quiet strength. Danny honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, working as a Sonar Technician aboard the USS Cone. His commitment to duty continued beyond his military service as he spent 33 dedicated years with MidAmerica Energy, where he was respected by colleagues and friends alike.

After retiring, Danny remained as active and dedicated as ever. He lent his skills to numerous building projects at his church, helped train miniature horses, and took great pride in maintaining the family homestead—keeping the grounds so immaculate they looked like a golf course.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia, and her children: Candice Clemmons of Round Rock, Texas; Brittany Jendel (Chase) of Lake Jackson, Texas; and Garrett Hendrix of Charlottesville, Virginia. He is also survived by his son Chad Kimberley (Tammy) and grandchildren Bri Reneau (Josh), Rachel Else (Aiden), and Jon Kimberley all of Washington as well as his daughter, Nicole Kimberley-Staeheli, and grandchildren Anna, Grace, and Evan Staeheli all of Minnesota. Though he deeply loved his entire family, the apple of his eye was his treasured great-granddaughter, Adriana Senarighi-Staeheli, who held a special place in his heart.

A graveside ceremony will be Tuesday, June 17th at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery, where Danny will be laid to rest with the honors he earned and deserved.
A celebration of Danny's life will be held at 11:30 AM at Top Hand Cowboy Church, with Pastor Greg Moore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Top Hand Cowboy Church, the Alzheimer's Association, or a veterans organization of your choice.

Danny will be remembered for his steadfast character, generous spirit, and enduring love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of service, strength, and unconditional love.
