Dana (Beetle) Bailey June 26, 1935 ~ Oct. 8, 2015 Dana (Beetle) Bailey, age 80, of Valley Mills passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Saturday at the Cayote United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Friday at Foss Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Cayote United Methodist Church memorial fund. Dana was born on June 26, 1935, in Waco, Texas, to Dana G. and Estelle (Lawson) Bailey. He was a 1953 graduate of LaVega High School and had attended Tarleton University. He was Army Veteran who served in Korea. He was a long time farmer and rancher. He previously worked at Rocket Dyne, Marathon Battery, General Dynamics, and M & M Mars. He married Emily Kattner on July 22, 1967. Dana was a spur & western memorabilia collector. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Survivors include his children: Chris and wife Annette Shepherd of Hutto, Brenda and husband Dean Wideman of San Antonio, Lou Ann and husband Ben Thiele of Valley Mills, sister: Ruth Bailey of Bellmead; grandchildren: Bailey and Kendal Shepherd, Ally and Kailey Wideman, Kaitlin, Erin and Heather Thiele. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hillcrest Baylor Scott & White doctors and nurses. The nurses and staff at Sunset Home and Hospice. Pallbearers will be: Keith Kellum, Gaylon Anderson, Roland Bryant, Wayne Bryant, Donnie Hall and Thurman Peveler. Honorary pallbearers are: Glen Cox, Melvin Bryant, Jack McQueary, Lloyd Hampe, and Perry Robinson.
