Dan G. Burns February 3, 1938- June 13, 2012 Dan Gilbert Burns passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Regent Care in Waco. Memorial services will be Saturday June 16 at 11 A.M. at Western Heights Baptist Church in Waco, with Rev. Kip Osborne officiating under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Dan was born in Waco to Wallace and Lalla Lee Burns. He graduated from Valley Mills High School in 1956. An served in the Air Force and worked for the FAA in Atlanta, GA until he retired in 2003. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Dr. Charles Burns, and one special niece Cindy Clemons. Dan is survived by 2 sons: Rusty Burns and wife Katie of Atlanta GA; John Burns of Florida, 2 daughters: Vickey Burns of Florida, Krista Burns of Tenn.; brother Don Burns and wife Jan of Lake Jackson TX; one sister Lou Ann Pope and husband Archie of Waco TX; one sister-in-law Vina Burns of Clyde, Tx., several grandchildren and great grandchildren; special cousins: Gene & Lydia Dashner; 2 close friends: Ray Colclasure and Glenn Chaneworth. The family would like to express a special thanks to Niki, Jenny, Sandra, and Angela with Bluebonnet Hospice. Also would like to thank Becky and Tamara with Regency Care.
