Connie (Morton) Symank, age 60, passed away Tuesday, November 22nd after a long fought battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, November 26th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton, Texas. Interment will be in the Clifton Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Clifton or charity of your choice. Connie was born September 22, 1951, in Stephenville, Texas. She was the daughter of Don and Dahlee (Waderlow) Morton. Connie was called "Muffin" by friends and family as she grew up in the First Methodist Church in Stephenville and attended Tarleton State University where she graduated in 1973. Connie married Brooks Symank on November 24, 1973, in Stephenville and became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She taught elementary school for 25 years, retiring in 2006. She devoted her life to her husband and sons. Connie was preceded in death by a son Alan Symank in 1985, her father Dr. Don Morton in 1996, maternal grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She is survived by husband Brooks Symank and sons: Wesley and Clint Symank, their wives Gabrielle and Sarah; 2 grandsons: Brooks and Hudson; her mother: Dahlee Morton; sister: Pricilla Gaston; a brother: Michael Morton; cousins Cynthia and Christian Waderlow; in-laws: Herman and Dorothy Symank, brothers-in-law: Gary Symank and Jeff Gaston, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are: Josh Symank, Aaron Bubela, Jason Rucker, Ben Gaston, Brad Ikard, Jarrett Webb; Honorary Pallbearers are: Christian Waderlow, Debra Odum, and Ronnie Gaskamp.
