April 20, 1935-December 12, 2016

Clinton Elwood Cook,  of Sugar Land, Texas, passed to his heavenly home on Monday at Methodist Hospital at the age of 81. Memorial services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church, 302  Ave. C (Hwy. 6), Valley Mills, Tx., under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Clint was born on April 20, 1935 in Axtell, Texas. He was the son of Edna Earl Wallace and Clinton Theodore Cook. He was married to Beverly Hill Cook on April 19, 1957 and was blessed to live with the love of his life for 59 years.

He was employed in the defense industry working at Hercules in McGregor, Texas, Tracor, Inc. in Austin and finally retiring from Alliant Techsystems in Rocket Center, West Virginia.

Clint and Beverly moved to Houston in 2001 where he and his son began Cook Insurance Services where he worked 13 years until his death.

Clint was in the Naval Reserve many years and a graduate of Baylor University. He was a faithful member of his Beacon Bible Class and Second Baptist Church in Houston and served his Lord and Savior faithfully.  Clint was always an avid supporter of his grandchildren in all of their activities.

He is survived by his wife Beverly, daughter Cari Ross and husband Mark of Houston, son Todd and wife Susan of Richmond, Texas, grandchildren Caroline and Collin Ross, Madison Diehl and husband Kevin, Heath Cook, Heather Statser and husband Aaron, and Josh Snider and fiancé Stoney Minshew, great-granddaughters Kynnly Statser and Eva Statser, siblings Mamie Johnston of Valley Mills, Zelda Thomas of Flower Mound, Texas, Danny Cook of Houston, Wilber Cook of Lorena, Texas and many loving family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dora Litton and Kenneth Cook.


In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church of Valley Mills, Sugar Creek Baptist Church in Sugar Land Texas (Missions) or Second Baptist Church in Houston (Second Loves Kids).
