Obituary

C.L. Hunt Mar. 26, 1924 ~ Oct. 17, 2015 C. L. Hunt, age 91, of Valley Mills passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015. Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday, October 21 in Granbury, Texas, under the direction of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation with the family will follow the service at the cemetery. C. L. will lie in state at Foss Funeral Home Monday and Tuesday. C.L. was born March 26, 1924, in Granbury, Texas, to Clyde T. & Fannie Louise (Mary Green) Hunt. As a boy, his greatest wish was to be a cowboy and to ranch and he got to live his dream. He worked for the Black Ranch, Powell Ranch and was foreman of the Delmar Ranch for 28 years. C.L. kept in touch with the ranch hands by C B radio under the handle "Boss Man", always traveling with his working dogs in the back of his truck. C.L. showed cutting horses and sent many trained horses to the East coast and Florida to satisfied buyers. He was director of West Central Cutting Horse Assn. for many years. He served three terms as vice president of Central Texas Cutting Horse Assn. and he was a lifetime member of American Quarter Horse Assn., Amarillo, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Patsy Wyatt, Oleta Blair; and a grandson Clayton Lynn Hunt. C.L. is survived by his wife of 28 years: Carol; sons: Don Hunt and wife Carla, Randy Hunt, Troy Hunt and wife Cynthia, Jamie Hunt; a daughter: Patricia Ann (Sunday) Hunt; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 step-sons: Greg Fedro, Robert Fedro; and the mother of his children: Norma Hunt. The family would like to extend special thanks to Providence Hospice, Whitney, Tx.
