Charlene Sigafus

Charlene Sigafus, age 92, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at her residence surrounded by family.  Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, June 3rd at the Searsville Country Church under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday at the church.  Interment will be in the Valley Mills Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Sigafus was born on November 22, 1924, in Mosheim, Texas, to James and Verde (Dodgion) McDonald.  She was a 1940 graduate of Mosheim High School.  She was married to Harry C. Sigafus on February 7, 1948.  He preceded her in death in 1988.  She was a registered nurse all of her life retiring in 1999 at the age of 74 ½ years old from the V.A. Hospital in Waco.  She was a member of the Searsville Country Church where she was the oldest living member.

Survivors include her children:  Ronald Charles Sigafus, Steven Craig Sigafus, Connie Charlene McHenry, Ann Christine Sigafus, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
