Cecilio Ramirez Munoz

Cecilio (Cecil) Munoz, long time Mosheim resident, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, March 30th, 2020. Private graveside service will be held by the family under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Viewing will be at Foss Funeral Home on Friday April 3rd from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. under the guidelines imposed by the funeral home.  You may sign the register at the funeral home or online at www.fossfuneralhome.com

Cecil is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Guadalupe (Lupe) Sanchez Sardaneta Munoz; his children, Frank Sardaneta Munoz and Mary Louise Munoz; his parents; his stepfather, Antonio Reyes; and his siblings, Romana Munoz Alonzo, TR Munoz, Adolph Munoz and Guadalupe Munoz.

He was born November 22nd, 1922 in Taylor, Texas to Cleofus and Jesusa Ramirez-Munoz. Cecil married the love of his life, Lupe, on October 13th 1945 at the Saint Frances Catholic Church in Waco, TX. He worked as a chauffeur for the well-known Dr. WW Blankenship of Mosheim until Dr. Blankenship's passing. He also worked for the Jack Poston Ranch as herdsman, farm and rancher. At the time, he appeared on the KWTX Channel 10 noon program, Ten Acres, showing Black Angus cattle from the Poston ranch. After the ranch closed down, Cecil worked at the Clifton Lutheran Sunset home until his retirement. He spent his retirement gardening and enjoying time with his children and grandchildren. He also continued strengthening his faith and listening to the word of God at Mosheim Baptist church. He alongside his wife taught their children the value of a good education and hard work. Adolph often said that Cecil told him "If you work hard and are patient, good things will come your way."

Cecil is survived by his children, Lidia Munoz Garibay of South Bosque, TX, Dolores Munoz Aguilar and her husband Miguel of Waco, TX, Cecil S. Munoz and his wife Jeanie of Oglesby, TX and Adolph R Munoz and his wife Karen of Georgetown, TX; his sibling John R Reyes of Fort Worth, TX; his 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren,  1 great great grandchild, 4 nephews, and 5 nieces.
