Carolyn Griffin Feb. 28, 1948~ Aug. 23, 2012 Carolyn Griffin, age 64, of Dawson, Texas, passed away Thursday at her residence. Graveside services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday at the Prairie View Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Carolyn was born February 28, 1948, to Ray W. and Myrtle (Fogelman) Black. She married Thomas Griffin on September 3, 1966, in Bloomington, Texas. She had lived in Dawson for the past 22 years. She was a member of the Dawson First Baptist Church Choir. Survivors include her husband: Thomas Griffin of Dawson; a son: William Griffin; a daughter: Terrie Benavides; a brother: Bill Black; a sister: Nancy Ratliff; 2 grandchildren: Ryan and Jamie Russell.
