Carol Ann Thacker, age 69, of Waco passed away January 1, 2012, in a Waco nursing home. The family has planed a memorial service Friday, January 6th at the Journey Christian Community in China Spring. Carol was born October 1, 1946, in Waco. She was the daughter of Jack Garland and Bert (Kynard) Vallas. She had lived in the Valley Mills - Waco area most of her life. She was formerly employed by Owens Illinois Glass Plant, Broadmore Mobile Homes, and GAC Supply Center. Survivors include her sister: Fay Hudgins of China Spring; a brother: Guy Vallas; a son: James Dickens of Valley Mills; a daughter: Melissa Carol Fields of East Texas, a granddaughter: Brandi Mejie, and 2 grandsons: Jeremy Fields and Joseph Thompson.
