Carol
Crawford
Nov 5, 1943 — Jul 11, 2026
Carol Jean Crawford (née Terrell), 82, of Mosheim, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carol was born on November 5, 1943, in Clifton, Texas, to Robert and Buelah Terrell. She spent much of her life in the Clifton and Mosheim communities she dearly loved.
Carol dedicated her life to caring for others. Throughout the years, she worked as a bus aide for special needs children with Durham Transportation, as well as in home health care and at Valley Mills Nursing Home. In every role she held, her compassion, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of those she served.
She found joy in shopping, making treasured trips to Canton, decorating her home for every holiday and season, and worshiping at Top Hand Cowboy Church. She had a gift for making every holiday feel special, and her family will always remember the warmth, love, and traditions she created in her home. More than anything, Carol treasured her family. Her home was more than just a house, it was a place where family gathered, stories were shared, holidays were celebrated, and everyone was welcomed with love. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
Carol was known for her strength, determination, and unmistakable personality. She was never afraid to speak her mind, but those who knew her best also knew the depth of her love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She loved with her whole heart and leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and unconditional love.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Crawford; her parents, Robert and Buelah Terrell; and her ten siblings.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Brenda Lee; Rick Hunnicutt; Brian Hunnicut; and Cathy Lunsford and husband, Travis.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Randy Hunnicutt and wife, Jenny; Patrick Howard and wife, Dixie; Kyle Hunnicutt; Jordon Lunsford and significant other, Bailey; Katy Lunsford and husband, Aaron; Katy Jo Perry and significant other, Cody; Brooke Lunsford; Kimberly Perry; Caitlin Thompson and husband, Justin; Brandon Hunnicutt; and Jake Hunnicutt. She was also blessed with 21 beloved great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.
Carol also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom she loved deeply and who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
To know Carol was to know unconditional love, fierce devotion to her family, and a heart that found its greatest purpose in caring for others.
Carol’s greatest legacy was not measured by the years she lived, but by the love she gave. She will be profoundly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family. Though she is no longer by our side, her love will continue to guide us, comfort us, and remind us that family is life’s greatest blessing.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Top Hand Cowboy Church in Valley Mills, TX. Interment will be held at Terrell Family Cemetery in Clifton, TX.
