Burnet (Burnie) Koehler, age 82, of Speegleville, Texas, passed away on Feb. 2, 2022. Private graveside service will be held at a later date by the family at Waco Memorial Park under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Burnie was born on June 13, 1939, in Gatesville, Texas, to Ben and Lara (Rohloff) Koehler. He grew up on the family farm in Coryell City and graduate from Gatesville High School in 1958. He was a printer and after retirement he enjoyed farming and baling hay. On May 18, 1968, he married Carolyn Bischoff at Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor, Texas. They shared 53 years together.

Burnie is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son: Brian Koehler, and daughter Becky Koch and husband Russell; 2 grandsons: Riley and Preston Koch.
