Bobby Gene Brandon

May 19, 1937 ~ June 7, 2026

Bobby Brandon, age 89, of Hewitt passed away at his residence on June 7, 2026. A memorial service will be held by his family and friends at the Westwood Baptist Church in Waco, Tx. The date will be post on this website at a later date. Interment will be at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

Bobby was born on May 19, 1937, to Hubert Okley and Vesta Mae (Shaw) Brandon. He graduated from Forrest High School in  Dallas, Texas. He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1967.  He was a SP 5 upon discharge. Bobby was employed for over 30 years by the United States Postal Service he retired in 1999. Bobby was a long-time active member of Westwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tina Brandon, daughter Ashley Brandon, and his longtime companion Dixie Vardeman.

Survivors include his brother Roy Bacon, sister Vickie Kay Patterson, daughter Kelly Brandon, and longtime friends Mr. & Mrs. Joe Goodman.
