Billy Gene Sadler Senior of Valley Mills, was 71 years young when he passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Hillcrest Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church, 302 Ave. C, Valley Mills, Texas. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Visitation will be 11 AM to 2 PM at the church on the day of the service. Condolences, donations or notices for Billy Gene Sadler Sr. estate may be mailed to 1715 Azores Dr., Pflugerville, Texas 78860.
He was born in Clifton, Texas, on March 7, 1946, to Mr. Jack and Oma Sadler Senior. He is survived by his two brothers, Larry Dale and Fred Sadler Senior; their spouses, Ocie and Arlene Sadler; and his two sisters, Leoma Hemphill and Dianne Diggs; and several beloved nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Billy Gene Sadler Senior graduated from McGregor High School in 1964. He worked as a skilled and beloved school bus driver. He enjoyed classic cars, outdoor hobbies, dominos, and football. He was best known for his jolly laugh and loved spending time helping his family.
Billy Gene Sadler Senior was happily married to Mattie Mae Sadler for over 52 years. He is survived by his wife Mattie and his daughter Jackie Haynes, and her spouse David Haynes Senior. He is survived by his two sons, Billy Gene Sadler Junior and brother, Stephen Mark Sadler; their spouses Barbara and Sunshine Sadler; and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
