Betty Black Simpson Oct. 20, 1951 ~ July 10, 2013 Betty Black Simpson, age 61, of Valley Mills passed away July 10, 2013, at Hillcrest Hospital. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, July 13th at Shiloh Baptist Church near Ocee. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Friday, July 12th at Foss Funeral Home. Betty was born Oct. 20, 1951, in Clifton, Texas, to Robert and Rosa Mae (DeChaume) Black. She attended school at Crawford and China Spring. She worked for Valley Mills Ambulance Service from 1973 to 1989 and for Foss Funeral Home. She retired from Valley Mills Care Center. She was preceded in death by parents, 2 sisters, a niece, and a nephew. Survived by her 3 grandchildren: Robbie and Sarah Ross, Johanna Smith a daughter: Jenny Ross and fiancé Robert Smith ; 2 sisters: Lona Mae Klutts and husband John, Minnie Williams; 1 brother: George Black and wife Julia; numerous nieces nephews cousins also extended family and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Lynn Robertson, Bob Robertson, Curtis Poteet, Carl Poteet, Chesley Poteet, Johnny DeChaume, Chris DeChaume, and Robbie Ross.
