Bernard Donald Hoffman, age 88, of Valley Mills, Texas, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2018.  Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at the Bosque County Cowboy Church, 7023 Hwy. 6, Meridian, Texas, under the direction of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Interment will be at Clifton Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.

Don was born on May 20, 1930, to Minnie May & B. W. Hoffman.  Don was in the appliance service business for 65 years.  He was a Korean Veteran serving in the Navy from 1953 to 1957.  He served his community throughout his life by working with children in the 4-H and FFA programs.  He volunteered every Wednesday for 4 years  to deliver for Meals on Wheels.  He was a member of Crime Stoppers, American Legion Post 322, Central Texas Fair Association for many years.  He was a member of the Bosque County Cowboy Church.  He loved to dance, fish, hunt, watch birds, and go to the flea markets.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Annette Hodges Hoffman, 4 brothers:  Benny Eugene, Benny, Garland, and Hilton Hoffman.  He married Cindy Lynn Hicks on May 5, 2005.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years Cindy Hoffman, 5 children:  Shelby Phillips of Rosebud, Craig Hoffman and wife Shauna of Lake Whitney, Jeff Hoffman and wife Kathy of Paradise, Jill Parson and husband Andy of China Spring, Kim Nichols of Hamilton; 2 step daughters:  Kelly Herring, Brooke Luther and husband Josh all of Valley Mills; 2 stepsons:  Blake Bishop and one special little buddy Brandon Pitts;  11 grandchildren:  Bradley Fletcher & wife Andrea, Tyler Ratliff, Emily Green & husband Matt, Ethan Brown, Amber Hoffman, Jessica Hoffman, Bryan Hoffman, Brandon Hoffman & wife Ashley, Kaleb Bishop, Kourtnie Herring, Kendyl Herring; 8 great grandchildren:  Cayce & Lillian Fletcher, Emri Ratliff, Madilyn & Maddux Green; 4 brothers:  Dewayne & wife Betty Hoffman, Jerry & wife Patsy Hoffman,  Robert & wife Barbara Hoffman, Larry & wife Sherry Hoffman; 4 sisters:  Jeanene Pack & husband Donald Wayne, Glenda Gheen, Frances Paul, and Cindy Middleton.

Pallbearers:  Bradley Fletcher, Tyler Ratliff, Ethan Brown, Gary Hoffman, Blake Bishop, and Josh Luther.
