Ashley Watts

Ashlee Marie Watts, 38, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2023 in Dallas, TX.  Ashley began her life on February 17, 1985 in Dallas, TX, arriving 3 months early.  She was so tiny, she fit in the palm of your hand!  She spent the next few weeks fighting for her life at the hospital.  Ashley lived in Irving as a young child, then moved to Clifton, TX spending her elementary school years attending school in Clifton.

Ashley moved back to Irving as a young teenager in 1998 living with her grandmother until 2016.  Ashley stayed in the North Texas area for the next few years, moving back to Dallas in 2022. Ashley became an aunt in 2019 and she loved holding and seeing her nieces (which she called her babies). The first year of the pandemic was hard on Ashley as she was not able to see any family members other than through a window – where her sister and cousin would visit her often to see Ashley's smile through the window.

Life for Ashley was a struggle, as she had severe cerebral palsy with extreme mobility restrictions. She loved listening to music, seeing her babies, and watching shows like Barney.  Ashley was a Christian and knew Jesus.  Ashley's mother took her to church when Ashley was a little child, where she would clap and sing to Jesus Loves You at each church service.  Ashley is now with our Lord and Savior, seeing her mother again after 29 years, her grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and so many other family members were waiting on her;  and Ashley no longer has her mobility issues!

Ashley is preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Donette Watts, her paternal grandmother Luana Maree Watts, her maternal grandmother Brenda Paschall, her aunts Ramona Watts, Christine Watts and Shannon Paschall, her uncles Robert Watts, John Watts, Daryl Paschall, and Andy Paschall.

Ashley is survived by her father, David Watts of Moody, TX, brother Darrin Watts of Dallas, TX, twin sister Brendy Watts of Hewitt, TX, nieces Brenly and Bree Watts of Hewitt, TX, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation for Ashley will be at Foss Funeral Home in Valley Mills from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM  Saturday, October 28, 2023.   Graveside service will be at 12 noon at the Valley Mills Cemetery.
