Obituary

Annie Mae Isbell, age 92, of Valley Mills passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011, in a Temple hospital. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Monday at the Valley Mills Church of Christ with ministers Bob Martin and Pat Richardson officiating. Interment will be at the Crawford Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3 - 5 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Valley Mills Church of Christ. Mrs. Isbell was born September 1, 1919, in Marlin, Texas, to Charles and Alma Zipperlen. She was married to Jack Willard Isbell on November 19, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son: Jerry Isbell; grandson: J.W. Isbell; sisters: Florence Zipperlen, Selma Howard, Ruth Winkelmann, Dorothy Federwisch, Alice Doughty, Olga Earhart; brothers: Ben Zipperlen, Alvin Zipperlen, and Charles Zipperlen. Annie Mae was a Bingo volunteer at the Valley Mills Care Center for over 20 years. She was active in the Senior Center of Valley Mills and was a member of the Valley Mills Church of Christ. Survivors include her sister: Ruby Hoffmeyer of Waco; sons: John Isbell and wife Dollie, Jack Isbell all of Valley Mills; daughter-in-law: Patsy Isbell also of Valley Mills; grandchildren: Dennis Isbell and wife Jennifer, Jason Isbell, Leigh Ann Isbell, Joe Isbell, and Anita Schlotterback and husband, Fred; great grandchildren: Jenna Isbell, Dylan Schlotterback, Gavyn Schlotterback, and Ethan Schlotterback. Pallbearers are Lawrence Wingate, Joe Isbell, Fred Schlotterback, Steve Franklin, Moses Perez, and Robert Gene Southern
