Alton Dwayne (Bubba) Nelson, age 64, of Valley Mills, Texas, entered into his sunset at his residence surrounded by loved ones on June 13, 2020. Private graveside service will be held at a later date by the family. Arrangements by Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Bubba was born on Sept. 24, 1955, in Belton, Texas, to C.A. (Red) and Lyndel (Foster) Nelson. He attended Belton schools and was a roofer by trade.  He had work in the Belton area most of his life as a roofer.   He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an animal lover.

Bubba met the love of his life Jackie Moreno in March of 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1985 and his father in 2018.

He leaves behind the love of his life Jackie Moreno, 5 daughters: Amy, Amanda, Tessa, Teela and Megan; 1 son: Russell; 1 sister: Ninna Gay and his brother-in-law Wayne Crathers both of Belton; 15 grandchildren; 2 nieces: Lindsey and Karen; 1 nephew: Joey and his beloved dog Scooter.
