Allen Ray Cummings Sr., age 67, of Valley Mills passed away on Oct. 25, 2021, at his home surrounded by family and friends. Visitation will be held 10 A.M. to 12 noon on Thursday Oct. 28, 2021, at Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A private graveside service will be held later.

Ray was born on August 1, 1954, in Waco, Texas, to Johnny and Nina (Kiser) Cummings Jr. He was baptized at Parkview Baptist Church at the age of 10. He worked at the Gulf Station starting at the age of 16. In 1981, Ray started working at Gearench as a machinist for 35 years until retirement and continued to work part time at Gearench for four additional years. Ray met his wife Wanda in the hay field in 1971. They were married on June 30, 1973, in Clifton, Texas, at Trinity Lutheran Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Ray is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda Cummings, his daughter Christy Tanner and husband Kevin of Valley Mills, twin sons: Allen Jr. and wife Kristy of McGregor, Robert and wife Ginger of Clifton; grandkids: Brittany and husband Ty Garrett of China Spring, Derrick and fiance Crystella Rostro of Temple, Zachary Harper, Matthew, and Kamrymn from McGregor, Nikki Valentine of Glenrose; great grandkids: Mia, Noah, and Danny.

Pallbearers: keith Crawford, David Burden, Bill Henkilman, Larry Tonley, Donnie Hall, and Jerry Kleine; Honorary Pallbearers: The Gearench Team.
