Allen P. Box, age 77, currently a resident of Trinity, Texas, but resided most of his life in Houston, Tx. He had lived in Corpus Christi, Tx. For 6 years, passed away on January 267, 2016. Graveside service with full military honors will be held 2 P.M. Monday, February 1,2016, at the Crawford Cemetery in Crawford, Texas, under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Friends and family may register at Foss Funeral Home in Valley Mills until noon Monday.
Allen was born Sept. 23, 1938, in Rogers, Texas, to Allen P. Sr. and Reba (Shelton) Box. He served over 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He was a master plumber and worked in construction of new homes and apartments in Houston. Later he was self-employed. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Delana Box Gilbert of Bossier City, La.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years: Ella Ruth (Clemments) Box; son: Michael Allen Box and wife Jennifer of Montgomery, daughter: Geri Browne and husband Douglas of San Antonio; three granddaughters: Ashley Browne, Kendall Box, Kennedy Box; a sister: Jacqueline Lewis of Crawford; a brother: Bill G. Box of Cape Coral, Florida.
