Alice Payne

Alice Faye Payne, age 71, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away at Providence Hospital surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Memorial services will be at 10 AM Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the Valley Mills Cemetery with Pastor Greg Moore officiating under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Alice was born on February 5, 1948, in San Saba, Texas, to Elmer Richard and Grace Dee (Modgling) Brinegar. She married William (Bill) Payne in 1987. He preceded her in death in 2006. She and her husband loved to fish, camp and compete in BBQ cook offs, where they won many awards. She love to cook for her neighbors and friends. She was a member of Top Hand Cowboy Church where she was very active. She loved her family but most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always wanted to keep you updated as to what was going on in their lives. The neighbors will testify to that.

Survivors include daughters: Angie Gonzalez and husband Enrique, Cheryl Young, Teresa Young and spouse Kim Greer, Rayleen Evans and husband Allen; son: Billy Young and Jackie; grandchildren: Brandi Perkins, Krystal Young, Jimmy Jam Johnson, Cody Evans, Demitria Gonzalez, Colt, Coy; great grandchildren: Trevin, Braylon, LeBron, Danikah, Kaiden, Kameryn, Haley, Madison, C.J., Kinsley, Oakley, Little Jimmy; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
