August 6, 1954 -- May 10, 2018
Alfred James (Jim) Sockwell, age 63, of China Spring, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at his residence suffering from lung cancer. Visitation will be 2 - 4 P.M. Sunday, May 13, 2013, at Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Interment will be in the Valley Mills Cemetery next to his parents.
Jim was born on August 6, 1954, in Clifton, Texas, to Vernon and Noryene (Oswald) Sockwell. He was a 1974 Graduate of Valley Mills High School. He formerly owned Valley Mills Flower Shop in Valley Mills and the Blossom Shop in Clifton, Texas. He later moved to the Austin area where he continued floral designing.
Survivors include his partner Dustin Fields of China Spring and his brother Keith Sockwell and his wife Carolyn of Plano.
