Life Legacy

Jordon Ray Smith
Nov. 4, 1984 ~ Dec. 24, 2012

Jordon Ray Smith joined Jesus in Heaven Sunday evening. Memorial service will be 11 A. M. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Jordon’s life of 28 years, however short, touched many lives. As the oldest son of a large family, he was a role model for his younger brothers and sisters. All of his siblings, including his older sister, Tara, loved and cherished every moment they spent with him.

Jordon was a devoted father of his two year old son, Kaydon Ray Smith. He was forever changed after the birth of his son, Kaydon, who was the love of his life. Jordon wrote on his facebook page that the happiest day of his life was the day Kaydon was born.

Jordon’s artistic abilities were over the top. Besides his drawings, he wrote and rapped Christian music. He had taken a missionary trip to Macedonia sharing his faith through his music and the people renamed him “Tupac “. At the time of his death, he was working on a Christian art project, with the word, Shalom, for family members. The peace of God was a core desire amid the struggles he battled and overcame.

Jordon was a photographer with Captured Memories Photography, and freelanced with Waco Tribune. He was currently working on his Bachelors Degree at MCC. In addition to many close friends, Jordon formed strong bonds with faculty and friends from TSTC where he received a degree in Media Communication Information.

Jordon is survived by his son, Kaydon Ray Smith, his parents, Steve and Beckie Smith of Valley Mills, his sister Tara Smith of Crawford, younger sisters, Alex, Ali, Megan, Mallery, Kaylee, his brothers, Jeff, Jordan, Ricky, Jon Smith and Joey Martin. Grandparents Gene and Barbara Smith, Fay (Shans) Toten and the late Bob Toten. Jordon is also survived by a very special niece, Alexis Fayth who will miss her Uncle Jordon dearly, many aunts, uncles, cousins and a very special family friend Jim Fitzhugh.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Kaydon Ray Scholarship Fund in care of First National Bank Bosque County.

The family will be at Tara’s home in Crawford.
